Baptism

Looking to take your next step into your relationship with Jesus? Water baptism is a visual and symbolic demonstration of a person’s union with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection. It signifies that a person’s former way of life has been put to death and depicts a release from the mastery of sin.

Why would someone get baptized?

  1. To obey the commands of Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20)
  2. To follow the example of Christ. (Matthew 3:13-17)
  3. To announce to the world that a person is a disciple of Christ (Acts 8:4-13; 35-39; 10:34-48; 16:13-15)

  • It promises to give oversight to that individual’s discipleship.
  • The individual formally submits his or her
